Lun Chinese Restaurant or Restaurante Chino Lun is now sadly closed for business. It was located on the main road of Arguineguin, along the parade of shops from the large Spar supermarket. We are keeping this post here for the memories and hope that they will open again someday.

As a big fan of Lun Restaurant I only have good things to say, having experienced both eating in their restaurant and their takeaway service many times.
Inside Lun Chinese Restaurant
The atmosphere hits you as soon as you step through the doors and we are always greeted with a genuine smile and top service. The decor emulates a stylish oriental feel which is great surroundings in which to enjoy your meal. There are a couple of tables outside, so you can opt to eat al fresco too. Some people often go there for afternoon coffee and cake.

The menu is vast with many choices and even a spicy option to give your favourite Chinese food a bit of a kick. One of my favourite things is the hot hand towels that the waiter brings before you start your meal, they always smell fresh of laundry and it’s nice to freshen up before you start, although I did wonder what they were for the first time I went.
Restaurante Chino Lun Menu
Lun have a vast menu including starters, banquets and main dishes available in the restaurant or to takeaway.
We always seem to get a basket of prawn crackers and sour sauce for free to start with but I am not sure if this is because we are regular or another special addition to the service.
Check out the video below of the Stir-fried Chicken in Sacha Sauce, served in a hot pan.
My Fiancé and I usually order a portion of Curry Triangles with hot sauce, which are absolutely delicious and are a bit like triangular sausage rolls. We also get the Vegetable Spring Rolls.
Then for the main meal Vegetable Rice to share as the portions are apt for 2 people in my opinion, we order a Vegetable Curry and the Lemon Chicken. On occasion we order the Thai Salad, if you are looking for something with a kick then you must try the Chicken Konpao.
The price is always very reasonable and surprising when you compare it to some other more expensive restaurants with not even half of Lun’s standards.
Takeaway and Delivery Service
Lun’s free delivery service is available in Arguineguin and Patalavaca and around 3€ for outside of the area. You can also phone them ahead of time if you prefer to pick it up yourself. Delivery always arrives speedily, cooked to the same standard as in the restaurant, piping hot and there’s plenty of rice!
With a high standard of service, authentic atmosphere and most importantly excellent food, Lun was one of the best Chinese Restaurants in Gran Canaria and we were very sad to see it go.
