The Lighthouse Arguineguin Good Food Cafe opened in Autumn 2014 and was just up the stairs from Correos (post office), looking out onto the boat yard, Arguineguin harbour and Las Marañuelas beach.
If you sat outside on a clear day, you could enjoy a spectacular view of Tenerife’s Mt.Teide! There were even binoculars and cozy fleece blankets available for those cooler evenings.
The indoor seating and the decor had a beach house vibe and you could see a lot of work went into the design of the place. There was even a little playhouse area for children to enjoy.
So enough about the fab decor and views, let’s get onto the menu. I’m really into tea and cake, so I hadn’t really tried anything else off the menu, but it all looked delicious especially the chicken pesto salad and the famous lighthouse burgers.
The green tea with gunpowder served in a tea press was my favourite, complimented with a chunky slab of carrot cake. We also ordered delicious apple crumble and waffles. Plus there was a whole menu just for hot chocolate!
The owners were such lovely people and there was a pleasant atmosphere. I had hoped it would re-open at some point.
Sadly The Lighthouse is closed for business but we’re leaving this post here for the memories, see more bars and restaurants in Arguineguin.
